CWMS have been collecting current and wave data at four nearshore and two offshore stations as well as from one station in the creek. The data includes current speed and direction, peak wave period, significant wave height, peak wave direction, water temperature and water level. Currents and wave data are collected using Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs) that record currents over 10-minute intervals for pre-determined depths, while waves are recorded at either 30-minute or hourly time intervals depending on whether the station is provided with land based or solar power.

Water level data are recorded every 10 or 15 minutes using tide gauges installed at six locations.
