Meteorological data
Three meteorological stations are operated by CWMS, one nearshore and two in offshore waters. These meteorological stations measure wind speed and direction, gust speed, air temperature, air pressure and relative humidity every 10 minutes. Nearshore meteorological data is available since July 2002 while offshore data is available since April 2010.
The Met data are collected at 10 minute intervals and consist of wind speed, wind direction, gust speed, air temperature, air pressure and relative humidity. The details of available data are as follows:
- Jumeirah Open Beach: February 2010 - Present.
- Palm Deira Offshore: April 2010 - October 2010.
- Jebel Ali Offshore: April 2010 - Present.
