Principle Marine Projects Engineer

Dubai Municipality as one of leading governmental organization in Dubai is seeking to hire senior coastal and maritime engineers with expertise in planning, designing, and supervising coastal and maritime projects.
The applicant should have an academic degree in coastal engineering from a well recognized institute with minimum of 10 years specific consultancy experience in some of the following areas; coastal processes, near-shore dynamics, marinas and inland waterways planning and development, canal side stabilizing techniques, beach stabilization schemes, ports planning, mooring analysis, geotechnical engineering and dredging, maintenance of ports and maritime structures and etc.
Knowledge of coastal structures design software is required. Familiarity with international design codes and standards as well as project management and contractual knowledge and skills is needed.
The successful applicant will be required to design and review coastal and maritime structures such as breakwaters, revetments, quay walls, diaphragm walls, jetties and floating pontoons as well as supervise the construction activities. Site inspection and evaluation of coastal projects in progress is required. Previous experience in the Gulf Region would be a benefit.
Communication skills in English including technical report writing and presentation as well as ability to work in a team is a must.
